Victor Hazlewood, CISSP, is Chief Operating Officer with 20 years experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) in the research and academic community. Victor is currently the Deputy Director of Operations for XSEDE, the US National Cyberinfrastructure project, co-PI on the NSF eXtreme Digital Technology Insertion Service project and PI on the NSF CC-NIE 100 gigabit network project awarded to UTK. Victor has worked in a variety of areas of IT and HPC including systems, operations, security, grid middleware and infrastructure. He has worked on HPC systems including Cray X-MP, Cray Y-MP, Cray C90, Cray T90, Cray J90, SGI Power Challenge, Cray T3E, IBM SP, Intel Paragon, and recently the Cray XT3/XT4/XT5 at NICS. Victor works on a variety of systems, network, security and other infrastructure projects at NICS including the Cray XT3/XT4/XT5 systems, NICS and JICS Security plans, core network architecture, NICS Gold database, NICS LDAP and OTP infrastructure, Grid Software, and Science Gateways. Victor has a B.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
